Lijiang · Shangri-La · Deqin · Yubeng Village · Benzilan

About This Trip

Nestled in China’s southwest, Yunnan is a land of incredible geographic diversity, from soaring snow-capped peaks to lush valleys and tranquil lakes. Known for its rich biodiversity, Yunnan is also home to countless unique plant and animal species, making it a paradise for nature enthusiasts.

This journey takes you through Lijiang, Shangri-La, and the Diqing Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, where you’ll hike dramatic gorges, visit ancient monasteries, and explore Tibetan culture in remote mountain villages. You’ll also venture into the sacred Meili Snow Mountains, home to Mount Kawagarbo, one of the most revered peaks in Tibetan Buddhism.

2027 marks the Year of the Goat, a particularly auspicious year for pilgrimage to Kawagarbo, when Tibetan pilgrims travel from near and far to honour the sacred mountain. This makes it an especially meaningful time to experience the region’s living traditions and spiritual heritage.

Along the way, you can also savor locally crafted wine at a high-altitude winery, where grapes grown in these mountainous landscapes develop their distinctive flavors. Blending outdoor adventure with cultural discovery, this tour promises breathtaking landscapes and unforgettable experiences.
